International 1st. prize: 3D printed concrete/Mycelium
My second semester project won an international 3D concrete printing competition hosted by Holcim + Cobod, in 2021. A large scale 3D printer (Cobod) was used to fabricate the digital models. Mycelium was grown as structural insulation that interlocks with the printed geometry in order to make the wall one structural element. The wall integrates columns, ventilation and internal screen wall for shadow and light effects.
